I’ve see this tag all over WordPress, and it seemed like a great tag to do, so here it goes:
Best book you’ve read in 2016:
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline! I loved it so much, it was really well-written, and I read the whole book in one sitting.
Best sequel you’ve read so far in 2016
This was an amazing read! The ending killed me.
New release you haven’t read, but you want to
I’d love to read A court of Mists and Fury by Sarah J mass, but I guess I should read A Court of Thorns and Roses first.
Most anticipated release for the second half of the year
My feelings towards this are mixed. All the same, I Want To Read It.
Biggest disappointment
I really liked Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins, and I had seen it compared with Gone girl many times, so I expected to really like this as well. However, something about this book just did not do for me, and I ended up abandoning it halfway.
Biggest surprise
When I picked this up, I did not even know what genre this book was of! I was not at all expecting a fantasy. When I discovered what it was, I fell in love with it.
Favorite new author(Debut or New to you)
I read two books by Rainbow Rowell- Fangirl and Carry On, and I frickin loved both of them.
Newest fictional crush
Levi from Fangirl! He’s such a cutie!
Newest favorite character
This was such a tough one! I hate being repetitive, but I’d say it was Cath from Fangirl. I feel like I can really connect to her.
Book that made you cry
It didn’t make me cry, but it was definitely the most touching book I have read this year.
Book that made you happy
It was such a cute, fun read.
Favorite book to film adaptation you’ve seen this year.
I haven’t seen that many this year, though.
What are the books you need to read by the end of the year?
I hate setting reading goals or making TBRs, as I end up not fulfilling them. Let’s say I have a book ‘A’ on my TBR. When I’m supposed to pick up that book, I end up thinking Nah, I’m not in the mood for this. Let me read ‘B’ instead.
However, there are a bunch of books I HAVE to read, ASAP(Mostly sequelds).
- The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin. I had read the first two parts, and I must pick up the third.
- The second and third parts in the Miss Peregrine trilogy.
- Glass Sword, sequel to Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard.
- A feast for the crows and A dance with dragons by George R.R Martin.
- The Rose and the Dagger, sequel to Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahideh.
- I’m currently reading The Lord Of The Rings set, which I must finish.
Glad to see you did it.
I have Ready Player One on my shelves since last year and have yet to read it, smh. And I’d like to try Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children too. I think I’ll rent the ebook from the library though because those covers scare me.

Do read them! I read Miss Peregrine’s as an ebook as well.

Did you read the ecopies because of the scary covers? Maybe it’s just me who things to that.

No, I didn’t read the ecopies because of that reason.

I did not dislike it. It just did not captivate me the way books usually do. I had read only a few chapters of it, though, perhaps if I re-read it, I might like it.
Yeah, do read it.
