The Pokémon book tag

With the release of Pokémon Go, everyone seems to be obsessed with Pokemon, so I’ve decided to create a Pokemon book tag.

I don’t know if any similar tags exist, and if so, it is not my intention to copy those.

1. Pikachu: Pikachu is an electric type Pokemon, and it stores electricity in it’s cheek pouches. For this, you have to pick a character that has got something to do with electricity.I choose Mare from Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, who has electric powers.

2.Bulbasaur: Bulbasaur has a seed on it’s back, which grows progressively larger by soaking sunlight. For this, choose a character associated with plants or nature.

The only one I can think of is Angela from the Inheritance cycle who is a herbalist.

3. Charmander: Charmander is a lizard type Pokemon which has a flame at the tip of it’s tail. For this, you have to choose a book character associated with fire.

Leo Valdez from the heroes of Olympus series! The son of Hephaestus, who has fire power.

4. Squirtle: Squirtle is a water type Pokemon, so for this, you have to choose a book character whom you’d associate with water.

I choose Percy Jackson from the Percy Jackson series. The Son of Poseidon, the Sea God.

5.Meowth: Meowth is a scratch cat pokemon, so for this, you have to pick a book with a cat in it.

The only one I can think of is from this children’s book series The Time Travelling Cat by Julia Jarman I had read a long time ago.

I just realized I forgot about Crookshanks. Never mind, it is good to have a little variety.

6.Arbok : Since Arbok is of cobra species, you have to choose a character associated with snakes.

7.Psyduck: Psyduck has psychic abilities. Name a book character with similiar abilities

Cass from Fire Sermon by Fransesca Haig, who is a seer.

8. Spearow: Spearow is like a bird, so name a book featuring a bird.

RIP Hedwig.

9.Clefairy: Clefairy is a fairy type pokemon, so name a book which has fairies in it.

Okay, I know that they are faeries, not fairies.

10.Gengar: Gengar is a ghost type pokemon, so name a book with ghosts in it.

I’m struggling not to say Harry Potter. I can’t think of any others, so I guess I’ll stretch it a bit, and choose a book with paranormal occurrences
